Similes, metaphors and personifications of Clock Tower

The clock tower looked as though it was an oversized grandfathers clock. It was as tall as an overgrown giraffe, as majestic as a castle. Not far away stood the stone statue, the grandfather. He held out his sugar candy-like walking stick in front him. Rain or shine, he stood there ever so firmly, the guardian of the school it appeared to be. It's colour stood out from its background. The sky, deep blue in colour, had a direct contrast with the dull grey tone of the statue. Do not be misled by its colour. Though it may look unattractive, it is one of the most treasured "artefact" found in hwa chong.
